Since my husband has to work on Christmas, we decided to celebrate early, so we spent the entire day out and about as a family. I cherish these moments because my teens are getting older and though I may not like it, I understand that the holiday gatherings may become few and far between. We are a very close family and we do everything together, so when these moments come into play, we take advantage of the time we have as a family.
This year we headed over to Peddler’s Village in Lahaska Pennsylvania. This village is known for it’s serene and quaint theme with shopping, dining, mystery theater shows, and the infamous Christmas Lights that greet visitors with a festive and cheerful ambience.
Our first stop was the Cock n Bull Restaurant for a warm, hearty dinner and amazing company.
A stroll along the gorgeous pathway was our next activity and a favorite stop was the willow light tree for a quick photo of myself with my teens.
Then we continued down the path to be greeted by the most beautiful and calming lights display. Though crowded with long wait lines and bustling holiday shoppers, it was still an amazing place filled with an intense holiday spirit that easily rubbed off on everyone you passed by.
One of the most wonderful things about this time of year, is that people become so inspired and destined to show their great talents. There is so much imagination just radiating with holiday creativity. I was blown away by the amount of bountiful displays of love and spirit. This amazing Christmas Tree dress display was one of my favorites.
Afterwards we stopped by my favorite Cupcake shop called The Lucky Cupcake. It has everything from macaroons to cakes, pies, and of course, cupcakes galore! I got the Coconut Bomb, the Snickerdoodle Cheesecake, and some chocolate macaroons. Yum!
Spending the end of year holiday time with my family is more important and satisfying to me than any other gift I could receive. It keeps me mentally grounded, happy, and most importantly, it keeps me looking forward to each new year to come!
Please remember, the first step to opening a better path to the coming year is to close the old year with someone you love and sharing a positive vibe with those around you.
From our family to yours, we wish you good cheer and happiness during the holiday season no matter which holiday you celebrate and a very blessed and healthy New Year!
